Primary 5-6 English Course

Our Primary 5-6 English course is curated and developed to prepare students for the Primary School Leaving Examination (PSLE), focusing on grammar, comprehension, vocabulary, oral, and critical/analytical thinking.

• Advanced Language Proficiency

Students will enhance their mastery of the English grammar, vocabulary, and sentence structure to ensure clarity and precision in communication, crucial for PSLE examinations.

• Strategic Exam Preparation

Tailored lessons and practice sessions designed to familiarize students with PSLE examination format, including comprehension passages, synthesis and transformation exercises, and composition writing.

• Critical Reading Skills

Developing advanced reading comprehension strategies through exposure to diverse literary genres, informational texts, and critical analysis tasks, preparing students to interpret and evaluate complex texts effectively.

• Effective Writing Techniques

Guiding students in refining their writing skills with a focus on narrative composition, expository essays, and argumentative writing, emphasizing logical organization, coherence, and persuasive techniques.

• Oral Communication and Presentation Skills

Practicing persuasive speeches, debates, and oral presentations to enhance speaking proficiency, clarity of expression, and confidence in public speaking scenarios.

• Cultural Literacy and Global Awareness

Exploring global issues, cultural diversity, and ethical considerations through literature and discussions, fostering empathy, critical thinking, and a broader understanding of the world.

Brainywave Lab offers tuition and enrichment programs, with emphasis on fluency and literacy, from Nursery and Kindergarten through Primary and Secondary/High School, specializing in the Singapore Ministry of Education (MOE) and the American Common Core Standards in English Language Arts/Literacy (ELA) using our own carefully curated and developed material.

We also offer national exam preparations for the Singapore Primary School Leaving Examination (PSLE), the Singapore-Cambridge GCE O-Level examination, the Admissions Exercises for International Students (AEIS), the International Test of English Proficiency (iTEP), and the International English Language Testing System (IELTS).

Our group classes are small, up to 6 students. We also offer 1-on-1 tuition that is catered to each student’s learning ability and pace.
