Charlie is a man of varied talents and foresight. He is professionally trained in Advertising Arts and Commercial Photography in Baharuddin Vocational Institute (Now Temasek Polytechnic). Through years of research, Charlie has developed a new art/photography form that he calls “Paintography”.

查理是一位才华横溢并具有远见之人。他曾受过广告和商业摄影的专业训练。纪律和毅力是查理成功的支柱。他与生具有天賦加上对艺术的热忱宛如盤石般的坚硬。促使他掌握了如何巧妙以摄影手法融人油画特色将人物肖像注入神祕神情。模糊了摄影与美学之间的界限。經過过多年的研究，查理已经开发出一种斬新的艺术形式，他称之为“油画”摄影。查理的图像纠缠于美學和摄影的界限。

In his portraitures, Charlie employs a Baroque approach of dramatic play of light and shadow where he 'paints' his figucharres in the dark with a light source. The results re- semble Rembrandt’s paintings. "

His unique works have attracted the attention of news media and was featured on TV Manila in Feb 2012, Channel U Singapore in May 2012 and TV Vietnam on 2014/15 in 4 occasions, and TV Taiwan in Sep 2016. He was invited as an international speaker at the WPPM in Malaysia on 3 occasions and for the fourth time at the PhotoWorld Asia Photo Congress in Philippines in Jan 2017. He was featured live in Channel NewsAsia on 19 Dec, 2017 and and documentary program on 27 April, 2019 and 4 April 2021."

Charlie has won 14 Nominee Awards from the 5th to 16th International Color Awards of Portraits, Nude and Fashion Categories and he had held his major solo photo exhibition in Singapore on Oct 2015 at Ngee Ann Cultural Centre. He has won an Honor of 
 Distinction Photo Competition Excellence Award from Asia WPA, (HK). 2017. "

His latest achievement has to be the selection by the World Wide Art Books, publisher of the International Masters of Photography Volume II, a juried annual, invite-only art photography publication presenting noteworthy photographers from all over the world. Each volume of this series presents the work of 100 noteworthy photographers from the world, displaying a cross section of what is happening in photography in all its genres, worldwide."

Charlie was presented The Artivist Award of the Year by Arttour International (New York) in Mid Dec, 2019. And his latest achievement has to be the 9th Rotary Club Artisan Award 2023.

在他的肖像面里，查理采用光与巴洛克式戲劇表演的手法和投影 .他巧妙的利用光在黑暗中绘出如油画似人物肖像。其效果如伦勃朗的画作。。仔细一看，所谓的“光”其实是一语双关；他善於捕捉人物神情動作類似德加。他的移动影像轻盈、超现实的奇思妙想与提示。並毫不费力地滑行沿帧，散發着補秘和美麗。

“油画”摄影已经推动查理国际声誉。他之后被人们所追隨。其创作经常经常刊登在各种媒体上。

自2008年以来，多国曾为查理在当地媒体报导其作品，计有澳大利亚，伦敦，菲律宾，印度，越南和新加坡。除了新加坡外，他的作品也多次在越南电视播出他的最新成果必然是被選出邀请刊登其作品于世界商业攝影特刊内。此年度特刊由World Wide Art Book出版。只展示一百位世界各地值得注目摄影师的作品。

綜合了全球各階层面和所有流派之作品。查理也于今年获颁新加坡金禧年设计师獎。

查理荣获 14 项国际色彩奖（美国）提名奖 (2011-2023）。

2019年12月，他被Arttour International (纽约）授子年度艺术家奖。他的最新成就是2023年第9届扶轮社艺术奖。
