The art of oak barrels at our winery: Breaking away from the routine use of a single barrel type, we boldly adopt a blend of French oak (60%) and American oak (40%) for 18 months of maturation.French oak delivers elegant layers of cedar, tobacco and baking spice, while American oak brings warm sweet aromas of coconut, toffee and toasted bread. The combination creates a harmonious blend that enhances complexity without overshadowing the fruit’s natural character, yielding a silky smooth texture.This wine maintains consistent richness from the first sip to the last drop, with a lingering, memorable finish. It has ageing potential of up to 20 years.
Wine Characteristics
Full-bodied, with aromas of blackberry, dark plum, black pepper, spice and subtle chocolate. Typical of South Australian Shiraz with rich fruit flavours and soft tannins. It pairs well with mildly spicy cuisine and offers broader food compatibility than Cabernet Sauvignon.
